What are the office hours? Normal office hours are from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
What time is check in and check out? Check in and out for the rental properties and the motel is at the motel office. Check in is 3:00 PM and check out is by 11:00 AM. Office hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. If you arrive before 5:00 pm and no one is in the motel office (we are out working on the motel grounds), please use the lobby phone and call us at the number posted on the door. If you arrive after 5:00 pm, please refer to your confirmation for instructions. Please come to the office the next morning to register by noon, or your balance will be charged to the credit card provided for your deposit.
What are the deposit requirements and cancellation/refund policies for the motel and rental properties? We happily guarantee your reservations and only expect you to guarantee your arrival. A deposit equal to 50% of your stay is required to make a reservation. If you must cancel for any reason (including weather and health), your deposit will be refunded less a booking fee equal to the greater of $30.00 or 6% of the deposit if you cancel your rental property reservation at least 30 days prior to your intended arrival date. Three days prior for motel reservations or fourteen days on special event or holidays for motel reservations. If you cancel, reschedule or switch properties with less than the required notice, your deposit will be refunded or applied to a future date only if we are able to re-rent all of your reserved days. Otherwise, your deposit will be applied to any unrented days, with the remainder refunded to you. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to arrival, you will be charged for the entire stay unless we are able to re-rent the property. No refunds for early departures unless we can re-rent you're reserved days. No shows will be charged the full amount!
Do you allow pets and what is your pet policy?- A select few of the vacation rental properties as well as the Motel, allow pets. We charge an additional $25 per pet cleaning fee, and we do require a $200 pet damage deposit (good for up to two pets, then $100 per each additional pet) to be paid at check-in. If no damage is incurred, the deposit is refundable after the rental property/motel room has been cleaned and inspected by housekeeping. You must have approval for a pet prior to your arrival. * - More than one pet may require additional deposits.
Do you take Checks? We take checks for your original deposit only if it has time to clear our bank before your arrival date. We take no checks at check in for any reason.
Are children allowed and do you have cribs available? Children are very welcome in the motel and all our rental properties. Children twelve years and younger stay free! We do have a few pack and plays available at no charge for guest usage. Pack and plays must be picked up and dropped off at the motel office by the guests We have a limited number to loan out so please request them when making your reservation.
Do you allow smoking? We have a few select motel rooms that are smoking rooms. There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside any of our rental properties, but you may smoke outside on the decks.
Do the rental properties have daily maid service? No. The rental properties are cleaned before you arrive and again after you depart. If you need more paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.., you may come by the office during normal office hours and pickup more. Properties without washers and dryers may bring their soiled towels and washcloths by the office and exchange them for fresh ones.
Do the rental properties have full kitchens? All our rental properties have fully equipped kitchens with microwaves and dishwashers unless noted otherwise in their respective descriptions and are stocked with pots, pans, serving and eating utensils. They are also stocked with liquid dishwashing detergent for hand washing and with powder detergent for dishwashing machines.

Do I need to bring linens, towels, soap and shampoo? All our rental properties are made up with freshly laundered linens and towels for the amount of guests the property sleeps. There is also hand/body soap bars for all bathrooms and kitchens. You will need to bring all personal care items including shampoo with you.
How many cars can be parked at the rental properties? Most of our rental homes have plenty of parking for up to at least four vehicles. The condos only have two assigned parking spaces available for guest use. If you are planning to bring a boat or have more than two vehicles, additional parking is available at the motel.
What shopping facilities and restaurants are close to Holiday Island? We have a great local grocery store with a deli and bakery (catering available) near the main entrance to Holiday Island. Also located in the same area are: a Fred's discount store, hardware store, White Oak gas station quick stop and a large variety of restaurants and shops are available just six miles south in Eureka Springs.
Where is the pool located? - When staying as a guest in the motel or one of our rental properties, you have free access to the pool located at the south end of the motel. Towels are provided poolside so please do not bring any from the rental home. Pool hours are from 9am to 9pm. (No lifeguard-Swim at your own risk-Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult). You may also use the two pools at the recreation center located at 13 Buckskin Lane on the Island but they charge a daily use fee around $5 per person and you must bring your own towels. Contact the recreation center for exact pricing at 479-253-9890. Directions to the recreation center from the motel office: turn left out of the motel parking lot onto Woodsdale Drive. Follow Woodsdale Drive across the bridge to the Island. The street name changes to Shields Drive after crossing the bridge. Continue on Shields Drive approximately one half mile. The recreation center and pools will be on your right at Buckskin Lane.
Where is the Recreation Center and what are the fees? -- The recreation center is located on the Island at 13 Buckskin Lane. There are 2 pools, basketball/tennis courts, softball fields, miniature golf and lots more. The daily use fee is around $5 per person with a guest pass when staying in Holiday Island. Where is the walking trail in Holiday Island? - The paved nature trail (Leatherwood Trail) is approximately one mile long and can be accessed from the Back Porch overflow parking area near the motel, or at the trail head (with handicap parking) which is located on Bluewater Drive off Woodsdale Drive near the motel.
Is there someplace to access the Internet?- The Island Motel has wireless Internet capabilities from our lobby. Bring your laptop and check your email for free. The lobby is open 24 hours for Internet access. Many of our rental properties have wireless Internet access as well. The local bank (Cornerstone Bank) across from the main entrance also has an internet kiosk.
Does Holiday Island have a marina and where can we get a fishing license?- The Holiday Island Marina has boat slip rentals, boat rentals (Pontoon, fishing, ski or wave runner), bait, snacks, merchandise and fuel. You may launch boats for free with plenty of trailer parking. Call for hours of operation and information at 253-8300. Fishing licenses can be purchased at the marina, the grocery store, or over the phone by calling 800-364-4263 with a phone number, credit card and drivers license or on the Arkansas Game and Fish website www.agfc.com.
Are there golf courses and what are the fees?- Holiday Island has an 18-hole (1 Country Club Drive) and a 9-hole (9 Buckskin Lane) golf course. When staying with us you will receive a 25% discount off golf fees. Call for hours of operation and fee information at 253-9511 (18-hole) or 253-8083 (9-hole). You may make tee times up to 7 days in advance of arrival by calling the numbers listed above.
Does Holiday Island have meeting facilities? - Holiday Island has many facilities to accommodate meetings, family reunions and wedding receptions for small or large groups. Please contact them at 253-9890 for rental information and hours of operation.
How far is Holiday Island from Eureka Springs?- We are approximately 6 miles from town. Directions from the Motel office; Turn right out of the parking lot and follow Woodsdale Drive one mile to stop sign. Turn left onto highway 187 and follow two miles to the next stop sign at highway 23. Turn right on highway 23 and follow south to Eureka Springs.
How far is Branson or Springfield Missouri? We are about an hour south of Branson. Directions to Branson, Silver Dollar City and Springfield, Missouri - From the Motel office; Turn left out of parking lot and follow Woodsdale Drive 1 block to 3-way stop sign. Turn right onto Stateline Dr and follow approximately 3 miles until it dead ends into County Line Road. Turn right at the stop sign onto County Line Road and follow approximately 1 mile to highway 23 at the Arkansas/Missouri state line. Turn left onto highway 23 and follow 1 mile to stop sign at Missouri Hwy 86. Turn right on Hwy 86 and follow to Missouri Hwy 65. Turn left on highway 65 and follow north to Branson Missouri and Silver Dollar City. Continue on North from Branson to Springfield on highway 65.
Where is the closest airport? N.W. Arkansas Airport in Bentonville (XNA) - From the Motel office; Turn right out of the parking lot and follow Woodsdale Drive one mile to stop sign. Turn right onto highway 187 and follow 5 miles to highway 62. Turn right onto highway 62 and follow 25 miles to I-49 (exit/entrance 86). Turn south on I-49 to Hwy 264 airport exit. Go east on Hwy 264 to the Airport.
What are the directions to the office?
From the East and the South (Eureka Springs): Take Hwy 23 North off of Hwy 62. The old train station is the last thing in town. When you pass it you are in the country. Go 3 miles north of the train station and turn left onto Hwy 187, the first paved road on the left past the train station. Follow Hwy 187 two miles and turn right on to Woodsdale Drive, the first paved road on the right. We are one mile up Woodsdale Drive on the left.
From the North: Head towards Eureka Springs. When you cross the MO/AR state line you should be on Hwy P in Missouri and Hwy 23 in Arkansas. Go approximately 10 miles south of the AR/MO border on Hwy 23 until you come to the Holiday Island Shopping Center (water tower on the right). Pass this up and continue one mile down the mountain on Hwy 23. Turn right onto Hwy 187 and follow it two miles and turn right on to Woodsdale Drive, the first paved road on the right. We are one mile up Woodsdale Drive on the left.
From the West: From I-49 at Bentonville, take exit 86 onto Hwy 62 East. Follow Hwy 62 East towards Eureka Springs (about 25 miles). Turn LEFT onto Hwy 187 and follow it for 5 miles to an old long one lane wooden bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left on the first paved road on the left, Woodsdale Drive. We are one mile up Woodsdale Drive on the left just as you enter Holiday Island.
